I miss many things about Calgary, I have to say, HOC is one of them. I thought about that on my whirlwind tour through Alberta this summer. I ended up missing you guys, but I think I should have made the time. I thought how I have yet to find a place that is warm and crazy and fun like that in Vancouver (maybe I never will), how the friends I couldn’t and wouldn’t take to church I could take to House of Commons. I have often thought about how you guys do community and how you do Christianity. I like that fact that you guys don’t believe Christianity, you DO Christianity. You don’t believe in Jesus, you live in Jesus. When you do these things you no longer believe, you start to know, and knowing makes all the difference. Hope you’re having a great summer HOC crew!

Dear Megan, Sarah, Mike and Matthew. Thank you for your spectacular hospitality Sunday evening. I know now the meaning of Intentional Christian Community. You all simply live it, you make it seem effortless while I know you focus on it every minute. Thank you for your willingness to share your experiences so openly. You truly embody and project the love and peace of Christ. I’m sorry we weren’t able to meet you, Paul, because your community spoke of you with such respect and love. We hope you will be able to visit us in the mountains and share your love of God.
May God’s blessings continue to fill your community. Ian
